My favorite Camping Spot

Old Skip Caravan Park Western Province South Africa

Living in the Western Cape of South Africa there are many beautiful places to go camping. One of my favorite places is the 'Ou Skip' holiday resort, meaning old ship.

This camping grounds have many shaded sites with lawn underfoot keeping the tent inside dust free. Bring along your electric lights and kettle as each site has it's own power point.

For campers convenience there are ample ablution facilities throughout the grounds which are always sparkling clean even though very basic. Power socket and mirrors are installed in the ablution blocks for drying hair or electric shavers for men.

There are built in barbecue grills and ample dish washing facilities adjacent to the ablution blocks. Convenient laundry facilities and wash lines to do necessary washing are behind the ablution facilities.

To keep children amused there is a play park and large lawns to play games as well as a brilliant blue swimming pool to cool down in. The beach is close-by but, one has to cross a busy street to get there.

This conveniently situated camping site gives access to the popular West coast of South Africa to the one side and the whole of the Cape peninsula with all the major attractions of Cape Town and Table mountain just voted one of the New7Wonders of Nature.
