Isn't it strange how the challenges of everyday life gets us in such a rut that it sometimes feels as if there's no escape. Then, the prospect of a camping trip can be a little light at the end of a dark tunnel.
Even if you've never camped before you can become a thrifty camper by learning how to prepare yourself and getting the right equipment.
Please take time to relax and read these pages to see what we have to offer.

Camping in the Bushveld
The obligations of earning a living and pressures of daily life is always in the foreground, we can't get away from it. Bills will always be there to pay and life goes on, but so many times...
I find myself dreaming of the next camping trip, the next time we'll be able to break away.
Where will we go, what'll we do ... and on and on my mind goes.
The excitement of a trip starts with the anticipation months before the time and many times this is what keeps us afloat in stressful times.
Even if the prospect is only a break for a weekend or a couple of days the planning always excites us...
...Looking for camping spots, buying gear and planning meals even what to pack and when to go gets us bursting with excitement.
We have learned through the school of hard knocks and sometimes we were caught badly lacking.

Camping in the Desert of Qatar
We learned the hard way to check everything before leaving home. Even something brand spanking new.
Not like the time we only opened the just-bought tent at the campsite 980 km away from home, to discover the manufacturer omitted some poles and we couldn't pitch the tent. A lesson hard learned.
Needless to say our then, three young boys weren't pleased. They wanted to be done with pitching tent and organizing camp. They couldn't wait to get their toes into the sand and waves.
Even if things go wrong and they sometimes do, we are hooked and can't wait for the next camping enroute trip to take place in our lives.
Through this experience we hope to give you advice how to avoid pitfalls and what you need to do before leaving home and much more...
